Public education and outreach is a critical component of an Integrated Pest Management program. It is important for homeowner’s to recognize larval mosquito habitats around their own homes and how to eliminate these areas of standing water. The Warren County Mosquito Commission attends various educational events and gives presentations throughout the year to educate the public. The Commission’s administrative secretary, a staff position that was initially part time starting in the 1970’s and becoming full time in 1990, works on the development and preparation of the various educational activities.
